Three new Zika cases take Pune patient count to 24 Pune: A total of three new Zika cases were reported in the city on Wednesday, taking the tally to 24. According to a civic health official, the latest infections were found in Lohegaon, Sahakarnagar, and Kothrud areas. “None of the new patients are pregnant women who are at higher risk of complications due to the virus,” the official said. She had been experiencing symptoms like fever, rash and joint pain since July 6. Her condition is stable now,” the official added. The case in Lohegaon involves a 49-year-old man. The infection was detected after he visited a city hospital for angioplasty — a procedure to restore blood flow through an artery. “When patients scheduled for surgery display symptoms like fever, the procedure is postponed. This seems to be an incidental finding as the hospital co
